Course Content
Working within an animal technology facility, carrying out institution containment and exclusion procedures, preparing for and monitoring anaesthesia, conducting euthanasia, managing and maintaining health of research animals, providing enrichment, planning for and providing nutritional requirements, carry out simple and advanced breeding procedures, providing care of rodents, rabbits, common native mammals, freshwater fish and non-venomous reptiles, performing aseptic techniques, processing and interpreting data, managing compliance, managing OH&S processes, carrying out post-mortem examination of research animals, analysing and presenting research information, undertaking environmental field-based monitoring.
