Assisting with the provision of an allied health therapy program; communicating in the workplace; complying with infection control policies and procedures; contributing to the organisational effectiveness in the health industry; customers and co-workers; following safe manual handling practices; organising personal work priorities and development; orientation to aged care work and disability work; responding effectively to difficult or challenging behaviour; supporting the care of clients and/or patients; working effectively with culturally diverse patients; working effectively with others and following OH&S procedures; communicate and work effectively in a health environment; participate in safety procedures; contribute to effective workplace relationships; comply with infection control policies and procedures; use basic medical terminology; recognise healthy body systems in a health care environment; assist with client movement; respond effectively to difficult or challenging behaviour; transport clients; assist the nursing team in an acute care environment; provide support in an acute care environment; maintain a high standard of client service; facilitate cooperative behaviour; contribute to team effectiveness; and electives.

Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
Application Selection
Award - SATAC application process
- Applications for the 2012 Intake must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian
Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.

Fees
In July 2012 the South Australian Government will be introducing the Skills For All policy initiative.
Skills For All may impact the eligibility and funding arrangements for government subsidised vocational education and training in South Australia.
As a direct result of this initiative, TAFE SA will reassess all student fees prior to Semester 2, 2012. This may result in some student fees decreasing whilst others may increase.
