Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
Para-professional engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. They apply theory and related knowledge to design, build, test, repair, and modify developmental, experimental, or production equipment in industrial or commercial plants for subsequent use by engineering personnel in making engineering design and evaluation decisions. Career Start (formally known as pre-vocational) courses offered by TAFE SA provide graduates with opportunities to gain an apprenticeship in electrical, instrumentation, air conditioning or refrigeration servicing trades.
