Selection Process

All courses have minimum entry requirements, which are set to make sure that you will have the necessary abilities for success. You can find out the specific requirements for each course in the TAFE SA Student Selection Guide.

The application and selection process may include:

  • an interview
  • a portfolio presentation
  • an audition
  • selection testing
  • academic merit
  • evidence of prior studies
  • evidence of work experience or employment.

Selection for courses is based on minimum entry requirements, and if you meet this requirement you will be eligible for a course. However, if the number of applicants applying is greater than the places available, you will be scored against the selection criteria and ranked accordingly. Places are filled sequentially from the highest ranking until all places are taken.

For further information on the selection process, please contact TAFE SA Information.
