Sign Language

Studying a TAFE SA sign language course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to communicate with people who are deaf using Australian Sign Language (AUSLAN). A qualification in this area will give you an introduction to AUSLAN and may give you an advantage in seeking work in schools, child care, community welfare, public service or health positions.

During your study you will learn a variety of skills, including:

  • introductory to advanced AUSLAN
  • deaf education
  • deaf community identity and culture
  • workplace communication
  • presenting information.
