Caravan Park or Theme Park Operations

Studying a TAFE SA caravan park or theme park operations course will prepare you for a career in a variety of roles within the caravan park or theme park industry.

Caravan park operations courses focus on knowledge of the industry, grounds and maintenance, planning and organising daily work, cleaning premises and equipment and customer service. Once you have completed your course, you may have the opportunity to move into a position as:

  • a caravan park administrator
  • a tourism consultant in a caravan park
  • a grounds and maintenance worker
  • a multi-skilled assistant in a small caravan park.

If you would like to work as a ticketing officer or a site in an attraction or theme park, a theme park operations course may be for you. During the course, you will learn about:

  • conducting pre-event briefing
  • developing interpretive content for eco tourism activities
  • developing and maintaining the knowledge of guides
  • preparing and presenting tour commentaries
  • ride location operations and supervision
  • providing customers with information
  • providing advice and selling tourism products and services.

These courses are offered externally or at Port Lincoln Campus.
