Studying a TAFE SA wine industry course will prepare you for a career in the wine industry. Depending on the specialisation you choose, you will develop the skills and knowledge to cultivate and develop grape vines, to operate a vineyard, or to produce wine and regional food.
If you choose to study viticulture management, you will learn about:
- managing machinery
pests, diseases and weeds that can affect vineyards
- vineyard restructuring
- planning a business
- environmental impacts and performance.
If you choose to specialise in wine and food, your study will include:
- food and wine grape production
- basic winemaking
- evaluating regional foods
- sensory evaluating of wine and food
- classic grape varieties.
