Justice, Legal and Government Studies

Studying a TAFE SA justice studies course will prepare you for a successful career in a variety of areas. You may be interested in joining the police force, working in the courts or becoming a paralegal in a law firm. During your study, you will gain an understanding of the legal system and will have the opportunity to move into a variety of roles once you have graduated, including as a:

  • police officer
  • correctional services officer
  • security guard
  • crowd controller
  • private investigator
  • collection agent
  • local government inspector
  • paralegal
  • legal secretary
  • court employee
  • community legal worker.

Many justice-related jobs will require you to have successfully completed training in order to meet licensing requirements, particularly in the security and private investigation industries.
